Sensory profile This wine makes an impressive visual statement, with its purplish robe of significant depth and impact. Its sensory surge, dense and multi-faceted, immediately offers up rich impressions of dried fruit and warm, enfolding waves of spice, vanilla, pipe tobacco, and tanned leather, alongside hints of mixed nuts and liqueur cherries. Delicate nuances and powerful essences duet together, involving delicate clove, Madagascar pepper, and cinnamon, alternating with ripe wild blackberry and liquorice. The sturdy, energetic, and long-lingering nose is fully complemented by a palate characterized by a crescendo of warmth as it develops into a lengthy, aromatic finish. Impressions of liqueur fruit, sherry, and walnut spirits fill the mid-palate, edged with an earthy vein of mineral and enriched by notes of black liquorice, espresso, clove, and toasted almond.
