Sensory profile This Friulano impresses with its intense, luminous amalgam of yellow and gold tonalities, presaging the wine’s dynamism, distinctiveness, and warmth. Its notable visual impact is a fitting introduction to an equally dense nose, rich with ripe essences of fruit and smooth floral impressions right from its initial moments. One is enfolded by notes of syrupped peaches, ultra-ripe apricots, and a cornucopia of candied tropical fruit that dance joyously together, characteristically Friulian, in the crystal bowl. On the margins are dense-layered strata of lime blossom, green tea, sun-drenched jasmine, and ripe cherry. The generous breadth of the bouquet is mirrored in a likewise expansive palate that is coherent, full-volumed, and impressively integrated. In the mouth, the wine, like a liquorous mantle, both vivifies and engentles the taste buds, delivering its fruit to the very end of the oral cavity. Here too one encounters again the tropical fruit-floral essences, now heightened with a spicy touch of nutmeg. A warm, mineral-infused sensation high on the palate gradually yields to a lengthy, descending tide of pleasantly bitterish toasted almonds, classic to the variety and magically enchanting. Everything portends a long and glorious life for this wine.
Pairings Very typical wine, will pair very well with the traditional Friulian dishes.
